The Best of These Is Love

Based on 1st Corinthians Chapter 13

Though I speak with tongues of men and angels

Without Love I'm merely empty noise

Though I know all things and my faith moves mountains

I am nothing if I have no Love

Though I bestow of all my goods to feed the poor

Though I give my body to be burned

Without Love my gain is absolutely naught

Faith, Hope and Love remain

but the best of these is Love

Love is ever patient, Love is always kind

Love does not envy, boast or self exalt

Love does not act unruly nor pursues her own

Love is slow to anger, Love forgives

Love has no joy in evil but delights in truth

Love patiently endures for Love believes

Love always hopes, Love perseveres right to the end

Faith, Hope and Love remain

but the best of these is Love

The time will come when prophecies shall surely fail

Quickly soon all tongues shall cease to be

All the knowledge, it shall vanish from the earth

For now we know and prophesy in part

When perfection comes, the partial shall be done away

My childish outlook shall be laid aside

Face to face, I then shall know as I am known

Faith, Hope and Love remain

but the best of these is Love
